Add Up” is Neil Cleary’s solo debut
but he’s certainly no newcomer to the music scene.
Neil has played guitar/mandolin for a traditional
contra-dance band (no – not country dance band),
electric guitar for a gospel choir in Iowa, drums for a
blues band in St. Louis, fronted a NYC Hank Williams
tribute band called Hank Williams Lonesome Cheating Heart
Club Band and acted as touring drummer for Elephant 6
band The Essex Green. “Girls Who Leave The East For San Francisco” is the beautiful slow burner that got Neil signed to Shoeshine…“When All Of Us Get Famous” is the most incisive snapshot of the struggling rock artist you are ever likely to hear: Heartbreaking and witty and non-judgemental and…well you just have to hear it…The other songs are all great too… |
