* What is Shoeshine Records?
An independent record label based in Glasgow, run solely by Francis Macdonald who has played with several local Glasgow bands (BMX Bandits, Teenage Fanclub, etc.). Shoeshine's first releases were in the Summer of 1996.

* Where did the name come from?
The great Hank Williams started off selling peanuts and shining shoes. Peanuts Records wasn't an option - Charlie Brown might have sued...

* What has Shoeshine released?
Lots of great guitar pop and American stuff. See our current discography for more information.

* Is Shoeshine an indie pop record label?
Shoeshine is dedicated to releasing all kinds of wonderful music. Our Spit & Polish divison champions Americana/country music.

* Does Shoeshine accept demos?
Yes, but the label is not actively looking for new artists/acts. Sensitive souls might want to send their stuff elsewhere.

* What's next for Shoeshine?
Who knows. The boss is making it up as he goes along...
