“All The Same To You” is a rootsy-pop track penned by NYC songwriter Joe Flood who also wrote “Pile of Woe” on Laura’s debut “Not The Tremblin’ Kind”.

“When The Roses Bloom Again” is the title song of Laura’s new album and was originally recorded by Wilco and Billy Bragg for their Woody Guthrie project album “Mermaid Avenue. It was left off their album when it was discovered that Guthrie had only copied the lyrics down into his notebook, the likely author being A. P. Carter.

“High On A Hilltop”? Here’s Laura: “There was a legendary local cover band that used to play on Monday nights here, the Beat Rodeo. Jon Graboff, our steel player was in this band for years. "High On A Hilltop" is the song I would do with Beat Rodeo if they ever asked me to sit in; it is one of my favorite country songs from the great Bakersfield writer, Tommy Collins. Both Buck Owens and Merle Haggard recorded this honky tonk classic in the 1960s. We recorded this impromptu version in some extra time in the studio last year. We liked the result so much that we brought in New York's finest fiddle player Kenny Koseck to finish us off with a bluesy solo.”
